We’ve updated our patient records system
On March 27, 2021, UW Medicine and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance implemented a single Epic electronic health record: EpicCare Link, a secure, online portal that provides free, password-protected access to the UW Medicine Epic electronic health record (EHR). Physicians, other licensed healthcare providers and support staff can access the medical record for patients referred to or from UW Medicine. This web-based service requires no installation on your servers or computers.
Use the new EpicCare Link for any outpatient and inpatient records beginning on March 27, 2021.

Looking for inpatient information from before March 27? Use the existing U-Link and EpicCare Link tools. Eventually you will only need to use EpicCare Link to access your patients’ medical records; for now, please view the table below to determine where to log in to get medical records of your patients. If you are a provider who did not have a U-Link account but need patient records prior to March 27, submit a records request by email: uwmedroi@uw.edu, phone: 206.744.9000 or fax: 206.744.9997.
Note about historical data
For the next few months, external users may have two accounts (ORCA, Mindscape and/or Soarian) for historical records dated prior to March 27, 2021, and EpicCare Link for records dated on and/or after March 27, 2021. Later this spring, all historical records will move into our data archive and be accessible via a button in EpicCare Link.
